I'm not sure if anyone feels the same way but with my
need to succeed, I cannot have goals set that I cannot achieve! So basically for me this means I cannot say
"I am going to lose 100 pounds" or "I'm going to run a
mile." My mind will already defeat me telling me that I cannot accomplish
this. So it's important that I focus on one step at a
time... Instead of 'I'm going to be a bikini model,' I work on eating great
today. Another trick that works for me
is looking at my feet. If I look up and
see I have a long distance still to go, I am already defeated. But if I
concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other then I can do anything!!!
